Description

Welcome to the Welle® Live Training of Trainers Program. This course is designed to train employees to deliver a high-impact Welle course, providing the skills needed to train others to prevent or minimize the need for physical intervention. Trainer effectiveness will be such that the people receiving the training will be able to follow Welle principles and techniques in any situation.

The Welle Standard Certification Course offers Welle’s industry-leading curriculum in safe and humane psychological and physical interventions in behavior management. This course, also known as “Welle Fundamentals,” teaches Welle’s foundation principals which include behavior assessment, de-escalation strategies, relationship building, generating cooperation, self-protection, and restraint techniques.

One of the most important things you will accomplish as a Welle Trainer is the ability to help staff members see their roles from a new perspective. With this training, they will see that they can have a tremendous and positive impact on the well-being of the people they work with, even during times of great stress. Staff who believe that they can assess someone’s behavior and determine what is likely to happen can begin to recognize their growing ability to help that person take more responsibility for his or her own behavior.

This certification course covers all of Welle’s standard training modules and the skills to teach those modules to fellow staff members.

Day 1, covers Welle Fundamentals I and Welle Fundamentals II.

Day 2, participants are taught principles of adult learning and how to apply them to Welle content to provide a basis for effective and relevant instruction techniques.

Day 3, trainer techniques are taught, including role-playing, a Welle Master Trainer observes and reinforces skills, and the trainer certification test is administered.

Upon successful completion of the three-day course, you will be qualified to teach up to 20 hours of content to your staff.
